History of The Garden Hotel, Guangzhou
The Garden Hotel, Guangzhou, founded in 1985, is one of the most prestigious five-star business hotels in China. It witnesses the early stage of South China's reform and opening policy, and sees the growth of hotel industry in Guangzhou. - Celebrity Design: Mr. Ieoh Ming Pei, a world prestigious architect designer engaged in blueprinting the construction of the hotel.
- Celebrity Foundation: On 26th December 1980, the hotel celebrated its grand foundation laid by Mr. Yang Shangkun, later the Chinese President.
- Celebrity Inscription: On 2nd February 1984, the hotel tablet was inscribed by Comrade Deng Xiaoping, the influential Chinese leader.
